In March 2009, Iluminadas will sponsor The Sweet Honey in the Rock Project in the Twin Cities in conjunction with Sweet Honey in the Rock’s 35th anniversary. Building on the success of this Project in 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2005, Iluminadas will offer educational workshops, youth and family concerts, youth poster art contests, and community outreach throughout the Twin Cities.

Bringing the music and message of Sweet Honey in the Rock beyond traditional venues and into the community will transform and inspire those who cannot accommodate arts performances into their household budgets.
